Roots for Life, LLC was started in 2019 by Channet (Davis) Williams (owner), a Jamaican immigrant. Growing up on a farm in Paradise, a small district in St. Elizabeth, Jamaica, Channet watched her grandfather and uncle collect a variety of leaves, root plants, barks, and berries from the forest.
To continue the traditions of her ancestors, Ms. Williams was inspired to start Roots for Life, LLC to enhance the health and wellbeing of her family and friends. After making small batches and selling bottles door to door, she was encouraged to start her home business. Ms. Williams received her Food Handlers License from the State of Maryland in 2018.
